The time is takes to build your website depends on whether it’s a Landing Page, Multi-Page or E-Commerce website.
We’ve highlighted typical draft build times below:
Landing Page Website: 1 Week
Multi-Page Website: 1-2 Weeks
E-Commerce Websites: 2-4 Weeks
The cost a website varies depending on the type of website you want and the pages / features you need.
We’ve highlighted typical pricing below:
Landing Page Website: £150
Multi-Page Website: £495 – £995
E-Commerce Websites: £645 – £1,250+
Prices are subject to VAT.
Our team will build your draft website using demo content ready for to be replaced with text and images from you. This saves time and makes it easier for you to see your website layout and how much content you need to send us.
If you already have text and images we can use (i.e. from your social media pages, printed material such as flyers/leaflets, word documents etc), you can send this to us when we start the project and we can use the content to build the draft website from, saving time replacing the demo content later.
There are many ways you can send us content such as photos/videos for us to build the website with.
If it’s just a few photos, you can WhatsApp or Email them to us.
If it’s a large amount of files, we recommend WeTransfer.com or TransferNow.net.
Whether it’s us or you who hosts your website, you will always have full access to edit your own website.
We can supply a short screen recording video showing you how to carry out basic text and image changes, update products and more.
We will always be available to make the changes for you, charged hourly unless you’re on our Premium web hosting plan, which includes 1 hour of changes support a month from us.
Our websites are built to evolve over time.
Whether you start with a landing page website or a multi-page website, adding an e-commerce shop later on can be done without rebuilding the entire website.
Our team charges hourly for adding this option to your website and assisting with the online shop setup and integration with payment gateways.
For .co.uk and .com domains, we charge £15 + VAT / year.
If you’ve already got your domain, we can either connect your domain to our web hosting services so you can continue to renew your domain yourself on an annual basis, or you can transfer the domain to us so we manage it.
We always recommend securing both the .co.uk and .com domains for your business to secure the name from being taken by someone else who has a similar business. It’s also recommended because customers might type in .com instead of .co.uk and reach a different website, or email the wrong company.
If you would like to transfer your domain to us for easier management, you can send us your registrars login details and we can initiate the transfer from our end.
If it’s a .co.uk domain you want to transfer, we will provide you with an IPS tag in which you submit to your registrar and the transfer will automatically happen.
If it’s a .com domain you want to transfer, you will need to unlock the domain with your registrar and provide us with an Auth code. We will initiate the transfer and you will receive an email to complete the process.
Of course we will always transfer your domain out to you at any such time you wish to leave us for whatever reason.
We won’t hold on to domains for clients that wish to leave. You will need to choose a domain registrar of your choosing, such as GoDaddy, IONOS, Fasthosts, 123-Reg, create an account and initiate a domain transfer. We will then honour your request to get the transfer completed right away.
If we have an outstanding invoice for your domain registration / renewal, we will require payment to be completed before transferring the domain to you.
Web hosting is essentially a server powering your website online. Every website on the internet runs from a web server. Without it, your website will not be accessible online.
We offer two plans: Pro & Premium.
Pro is our most popular web hosting plan which suits most businesses needs, however for larger / e-commerce websites and clients who require regular website changes, Premium is best suited.
The web hosting plan doesn’t start until the website is built ready to go live, and you can pay monthly by direct debit by supplying us the bank sort code & account number, or choose to pay annually with a 25% discount.
Both web hosting plans come with the server to get your website online, SSL certificate installation, backend software updates to keep the website functioning, regular backups just incase the worst happens, and you’ll always have full admin access to the website backend in order to make edits.
You can read more about our plans here.
If you would like to host your own website instead of using our Web Hosting plans, you will need to purchase a server plan from a popular registrar/hosting company, and set it up ready for us to upload your website to it.
Once your website is live on your own web server, you will be responsible for managing the websites backend software such as the CMS, Theme & Plugins, as well as making changes to your website, and keeping the server online.
We can assist with future software updates even if you run your own web server, however we would charge hourly for all work, and cannot guarantee response times for support.
We don’t charge for the first hour of work to get your website online on your web server, however if the time goes over, we will let you know and charge hourly thereafter. Typically a website can be uploaded and setup on most popular servers within an hour.
Unless you have a good level of technical knowledge, we do not recommend hosting your own website.
If you do want to proceed with your own web hosting plan and are looking for the best-in-class service, we recommend WP Engine.
Switching web hosting providers is relatively easy depending on what you have setup on the web server. For a typical web hosting switch, we will need to take a backup copy of the website first, and then need access to the domain in order to re-point the website to our web server.
Once the switch is complete, we will restore the website backup and then re-add any DNS records required for services such as business email.
If you are using business email that is included with your current web hosting package, it will be need to be discussed how best to migrate your business email to a service such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, before switching hosting provider.
Having a business email that matches your website is important for brand recognition and security.
We recommend using either Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for your business email as they’re the industry leaders and both services are the most supported around the world.
While Microsoft 365 is the most complete service due to direct integration with OneDrive, Word, Excel and Outlook, Google Workspace is a great option as it’s faster to setup and you’ll likely need a Google account for website services such as Google reCAPTCHA, Search Console, Analytics, Google Ads and more.
Our team can help connect your domain to one of the above services in order to create your business email accounts. You will always pay either Microsoft or Google directly for your email service and we will only charge for the time in setting up the service for you.
